Funded Ph.D. Positions

We look for candidates who

  • are self-motivated and have aspirations in a.) computer vision and machine learning, or b.) fundamental and inter-disciplinary research at the intersection of deep neural networks and emerging healthcare or brain science domains;
  • have excellent coding and software skills; and
  • publication record in related areas are preferred.

    Directed Research (for both Graduate and Undergraduate Students at UMN)

    a.) Priority will be given to those who have taken introductory computer vision (5561 or equivalent) and machine learning (5521 or equivalent) courses.

    b.) If you are interested in inter-disciplinary research at the intersection of computer science and psychology/neuroscience, there are opportunities to work with faculty in both psychology/psychiatry/biomedical engineering and computer science.
