Research

Arvind's research focuses on designing, implementing, and evaluating novel content delivery networking (CDN) systems in environments like the Internet of Everything (IoE). In present day network architectures, he tries to understand the challenges associated in designing large-scale CDNs and look for practical solutions. He also explores next-generation Internet architectures such as information-centric networking (ICN) to provide better support to present day value-added Internet services (cloud services, content delivery systems, mobile services) that dominantly represent the modern day Internet ecosystem. Arvind is advised by Professor Zhi-Li Zhang.

    Created an academic oriented social networking website which started as a 50 member online community but now acts as a 6500+ member official intra-portal of my undergraduate college receiving over 150 thousand hits a day. This project has won many international awards, gained appreciations from eminent citizens and received media coverage.

    Developer
    Member of Sana-VIT technical team that collaborated with members of Sana Mobile, a volunteer research group at CSAIL, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge, USA, in establishing an emergency medical referral system for maternal and new born health in 3 pilot hospitals in Mumbai.
