Research
Arvind's research interests cover the broad areas of emerging scalable network architectures (such as NFVs), 5G mobile networking, network data science and content distribution networks (CDNs). More specifically, his research involves tackling challenges in understanding and improving the performance of emerging 5G networks and developing novel techniques based on network (and edge) function virtualization to support future 5G network architectures and services. Last but not the least, another dimension of Arvind's research is to harness the power of data to address challenges in computer networks (e.g. content caching, improving 5G applications' QoE) using applied machine and deep learning. He is advised by Professor Zhi-Li Zhang and Professor Feng Qian.
