About Me

I'm a second year Ph.D. student in Computer Science and Engineering at University of Minnesota. I'm a member of GroupLens Research Lab. My advisor is Prof. Lana Yarosh. My research interests focus in the area of Human-Computer Interaction, particularly Social Computing, and Affective Computing.

Research

I like to analyze social computing systems and online communities to understand user behaviors and technological roles, which will then tranform into fruitful design implications to solve real-world problems. Sometimes I even build the system myself to conduct the experiment and get the data. I'm also interested in understanding and integrating the emotional components in the human-computer interaction loop.

To fulfill my goals, I utilize the following building blocks:

  • Coding and Debugging
  • Psychology and Social Science Theory
  • Quantitative Analysis
  • Qualitative Analysis
