About Me

I am a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, working with Professor Mohamed Mokbel. I received my Master's of Engineering degree in Computer Science from Cornell University in 2014 and a BS degree in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota in 2013. My main research interest is in the area of big data management system, and currently, I am focused on providing a more efficient crowdsourcing framework. My work was awarded the second place in Best Vision Paper in SSTD 2017 and as one of the finalists in ACM SIGMOD 2017 Student Research Competition.

Research Project: The goal of my internship is to study and understand the applicability of a new programming language feature, namely coroutine. In particular, coroutine allows us to hide the memory latency of a memory access that is made by pointer-intensive data streuctures. The outcome of my internship is an in-depth experimental evaluation paper, namely Exploiting Coroutines to Attack the "Killer Nanoseconds", which is published in VLDB 2018.
