I am a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Minnesota. My research interests revolve around robotics, interactive virtual worlds and data science. Before coming to Minneapolis, I obtained my PhD in Computer Science from Utrecht University, in the Netherlands, where I worked under the supervision of Prof. Mark Overmars and Dr. Frank van der Stappen. My PhD work involved the development of motion planning algorithms for crowd simulation purposes. More information can be found here. I also hold a M.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Manchester, in UK, and a B.Sc. in Applied Informatics from the University of Macedonia, in Greece.
My main research interests include motion planning, crowd simulation, and data analysis. I am particularly interested in the development of motion planning algorithms for virtual humans, autonomous robots and crowds of virtual characters.Publications | Google Scholar | LinkedIn
