| EXPERIENCE |
I am currently an intern researcher under Dr. Bodhi Priyantha and Dr. Jie Liu with the Networked Embedded Computing Group at Microsoft Research Redmond. I will be a faculty member with the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at The University of Nebraska - Lincoln in the coming fall semester. I obtained Ph.D. (Sep. 2010) in Computer Science from The University of Minnesota - Twin Cities under McKnight Land-Grant Professor Tian He. My research topics cover localization, mobile and robotic tracking, time synchronization, energy-aware computing, wireless networking, faulty tolerance and debugging. I developed the 360-node Mirage sensor test-bed and co-developed the Twin-Star perpetual sensing platform. During the gap between M.S. and Ph.D. (Jan. ~ Jul. 2006), I was invited to hold an engineer position with the Nanjing Research Center of Shenzhen PowerCom Co. Ltd. (NASDAQ: GRRF). I was the principle designer for Network Processing Module and Ethernet Switch Module in the 802.16d WiMax Multi-sector Base Station project. I earned B.S.E.E. (Jul. 2003) and M.S.E.E. (Dec. 2005) as a member of the Honor Class (CHIEN-SHIUNG WU College) from the Department of Radio Engineering at Southeast University, Nanjing, China. My major areas were signal processing, information theory, embedded systems and wireless communication. I was an international exchange student (Sep. ~ Dec. 2002) with the Bioengineering, Electronics & Telemedicine Laboratory (BET Lab) at The Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain. I was born in Yangzhou, one of the most charming cities in China with a long history of more than 2500 years. I graduated from the Yangzhou Middle School of Jiangsu Province. |
