Software Engineer, 123Print Inc, Taylor Corporation, MD, USA, 01/2007 – Now

·        www.123print.com: An online business cards and custom printing system.

-         Used ASP.NET, VB.NET, SQL Server, AJAX, ICSM

-         Designed and implemented an automatic email marketing system which is individualized for each customer based on their visits and previous orders. This feature helps 123Print to increase the cross-sale value and re-order rate up to 40%.

-         Designed and implemented a flexible discount system that can provide different price schemes based on different referral sources. With this feature, 123Print is able to give competitive price for customers coming from search engines where there are many competitors. Many special email campaigns are also benefit from it.

-         Integrated Omniture (www.omniture.com) code to 123Print website to provide the marketing team useful data and reports for online business analytic and optimization purpose. The information got from Omniture helps marketing team to revise and improve landing pages , decision pages an work-flow to improve conversion rate of the website.

-         Implemented code logic (online design studio, flow) for many new important products such as stamps, photo holiday cards, recycled business cards, business card assortments, post-it notes … These new products increase website’s sale about 15%.

-         Implemented and maintained ICSM service which transfer order information and order status between 123Print and sister companies. This service also provides customer order and activity information which will help to determine the targeted customers for email campaigns.

-         Worked closely with customer service team as an instant troubleshooter for any issues reported by the customers. Suggested many ideas to improve the communication between customer service team and developer team which reduce much time to duplicate and fix bugs.

Database Analyst/Developer, 123Print Inc, Taylor Corporation, MD, USA, 01/2007 – Now

-         Administrated several database servers (MS SQL 2005) for local testing and production including www.123print.com, www.123print.co.uk, www.staplescustomprinting.com and www.designitdepot.com (limited IP access).

-         Optimized the old database design and stored procedure implementation for better performance by examining the execution path and comparing executing time. Improved the stored procedure performance by 20% for most complex store procedures.

-         Implemented complex T-SQL scripts  to migrate the design data from 123Print database to OfficeDepot and Staples databases. This work saved hundreds of hour works for creative team.

-         Provided various reports for marketing team such as A/B testing, customer visit, revenue, conversion rate, natural and pay-per-click search engine volume…

-         Implemented the front-end C# forms using Infragistics Controls.

·        Online Soccer Bet – Team Leader / Website Administrator: The first and the biggest online soccer bet for Vietnamese.  

-         Used DotNetNuke Portal, ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server, XML/XPATH, IIS.

-         Designed the system architecture and optimized database performance.

-         Applied XML/XPATH to extract instantly match result from the live score website.

-         Applied AJAX-based techniques for web pages highly required interactive

·        Stock Trader - Team Leader / Website Administrator: A simulative, online stock exchange operating like the completely new Vietnam stock exchange market (2002).

-         Used ASP.NET, VB.NET, SQL Server, IIS.

·        Vietnamese word segmentation: A novel approach using the web corpus, Google-based statistic and genetic algorithm

-         Developed and conducted the main genetic algorithm
