I am presently
working at Oracle Inc, USA. Prior to this, I was a graduate
student at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, USA. I completed
my Ph.D. (Computer Science) in May, 2008. My thesis was titled "False
Negative Estimation: Theory, Techniques, and Applications" (Advisor:
Dr. Jaideep Srivastava (webpage)).
My research interests are in the application of data mining algorithms
for the analysis of large datasets. My previous research has involved
creating and applying new data mining techniques to data from domains
sales management, ecology, social networks, and Web search.
have also completed my Master's (M.S.) in Computer Scienece from
Minnesota, Minneapolis, USA. My co-advisors were Dr. Jaideep Srivastava
and Dr. Shashi Shekhar.
Prior to this, I
completed my undergraduate studies (B.E. (Computer Engineering)) from
the Government College of Engineering, Pune, India (or COEP as it is fondly called by its
alumni/students), affiliated to the University of Pune, India.
