Thank you for the contributions to the October 2011 proposal titled From GPS and Google Earth to Spatial Computing: The Next Transformative Technology in response to the CCC Request for Proposals for Creating Visions for Computing Research .
We now have feedback from CCC Council. They are very interested in the overall promise of doing a visioning exercise in realm of spatial computing. However, they have requested revisions. Vision (section 1.3) may be expanded to include privacy, e-commerce, reasoning, prediction, geo-science, etc. Second, they recommend representation from NOAA, NASA, NRO, Garmin, Google, Microsoft, Lockheed, etc.
It will be wonderful to get guidance towards the revision. In particular, we will benefit from names of relevant colleagues in NRO, Garmin, Lockheed, Raytheon, etc. possibly leading the GPS modernization initiatives.
