Max Schuchard I am a PhD Candidate in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. I am also currently adjunct faculty at the University of St. Thomas in their School of Engineering's Graduate Programs in Software.

My research is in areas of routing security, privacy, and cryptocurrencies. Currently I'm working on projects involving the stability of systems of BGP routers, the anonymity provided by Bitcoin tumblers, the economics of routing, and how to shrink the size of the BGP default free routing table. I am also interested in anonymous communication systems, embedded system security, and measuring various properties of the BGP infrastructure and the Bitcoin community. I also teach introductory programming at a local private college. A list of my publications is available from DBLP and citations from Google Scholar.
