I'm a research associate at the University of Minnesota.  My current research interests are primarily in spatio-temporal data mining, time series analysis, data mining foundations, and emerging Earth science/environmental applications.  Broadly, the focus of my work is on large scale data analysis with the goal of addressing fundamental issues in global change and sustainability.  My work has been featured in NASA News, The Economist, UMNews press releases1,2, and Inventing Tomorrow.
