A Postdoctoral Associate position is available to work on research projects related to numerical linear algebra methods, with emphasis on solution methods for eigenvalue problems. The projects involve the development of high performance algorithms, the analysis of these algorithms, and their parallel implementation and use in practical applications.

Applicants must have a good background in numerical linear algebra in a broad sense. They should have experience in parallel computing (MPI, OpenMP, ..), numerical methods in general, and sparse matrix techniques in particular. A Ph.D. in Computer Science, applied mathematics, or a field related to scientific computing is required.
