High Performance Parallel Hardware Research

With Prof. Lilja and Ph.D. student Don Johnson I worked on high-performance parallel hardware. We investigated the performance of simple, inexpensive communication and synchronization hardware for a parallel processing computer. The performance was shown analytically and through simulations to be better or cheaper than previously known techniques.
