I
am currently with the Microsoft Virtual Earth team.
I finished my Ph. D. in
Computer Science at the
University of Minnesota in 2005, and received the B.S. degree in Computer
Science at the University of Science
and Technology of China, Hefei, China in 1999. My current
interests include local search engine design, spatial and temporal databases, data
mining, and geographic information retrieval. I was a recipient of the
2004-2005 Doctoral Dissertation Fellowship
at the Universtiy of Minnesota. My research advisors were Prof.
Vipin Kumar and Prof.
Shashi Shekhar.
I am a member of IEEE
Computer Society and ACM SIGMOD.
