Biography

I am currently a research scientist in System Architecture Lab. (SAL) at Samsung R&D Center in San Jose, California.

I got my Ph.D. degree in Computer Science at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities in July 2012. My advisor is Professor David H.C. Du and I am a member of the Center for Research in Intelligent Storage (CRIS) lab. I took my Master of Science from University of Minnesota - Twin Cities in 2007 and have studied Software Engineering for my master's degree.


Research Interests

My research interests lie in storage system design and applications: non-volatile memories (Flash-based SSD, PCM), hot/cold data identification, embedded systems, shingled magnetic recording disks, data deduplication, home storage systems, big data/hadoop, virtualization (Xen, KVM).
