Research

From a Computer Science perspective I am interested in simplifying the use and optimization of special purpose accelerators (e.g., GPUs, FPGAs, etc.) in large scale systems.

Scientifically, I am interested in fluid dynamics, geophysical inversion, and speleology. My work in the Geology and Geophysics Department at the University of Minnesota has focused on the physics governing Karst conduits and aquifers. Primarily investigating processes such as fluid flow and signal transport. I have also done work on large inversions of geomagnetic data.
