About me

My name is Michael R. Evans and I am a PhD Candidate in Computer Science at the University of Minnesota. My advisor is Professor Shashi Shekhar and I am a member of his Spatial Databases and Spatial Data Mining research group. I am a part of an IGERT NSF Fellowship, collaborating with researchers from Civil Engineering and the Environmental Sciences on environmental issues. Before this, I worked at a large financial company as a web applications developer for over a year. I graduated from Saint John's University in 2007 with a BA in Computer Science.
