Options:
  Shimmer:
    Rather than adding pixels, the proportion of 2nd strip pixels
    to 1st strip pixels increases. Which pixels are which changes
    from frame to frame, causing a "shimmering" effect.
    Looks good if the 2nd strip matches the 1st except for an extra
    object, which seems to shimmer into view.
