Hi,

I would like to know if there is a way to set an imbalance factor for the partitioning (as in hMetis 1.5.3).

I used hMetis 1.5.3 for partitioning irregular graphs such as bcsstk30, bcsstk31 etc. by changing their format to a suitable one. I guess it is not appropriate meaning better results are should be achieved using Metis 4.0. Am I right?

Thanks.

Sharon,

At this point there is no easy way to change the imbalance factor.

As far as hMetis, in general the quality of the solutions produced by hMetis should be better than those produced by Metis.
