About

I recently passed my PhD defense in Computer Science at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. For a person coming from a small country, Luxembourg, living in the United States is a very humbling experience. Everything is so big. I am still not used to hour long drives to get to places. Where I am from, if I drive for an hour in any direction, I leave my country.

Research

My primary interests and experience are in Motion Planning, Computer Vision and Point Cloud Processing. The introduction of the Microsoft Kinect as a tool for merging images with depth data has been a game changer for me.
My PhD work focuses on performing object recognition and classification.
My adviser is Professor Nikolaos Papanikolopoulos.
