SpatialHadoop is an extended version of Hadoop
which enables efficient processing of large scale spatial data.
It adds a spatial language, termed Pigeon,
spatial indexes, and spatial operations. It ships with a dozen of efficient
spatial operations including range query, spatial join, and a suite
of computational geometry operations.
