SpatialHadoop is an extended version of Hadoop
which enables efficient processing of large scale spatial data.
It adds a spatial language, termed Pigeon,
spatial indexes, and spatial operations. It ships with a dozen of efficient
spatial operations including range query, spatial join, and a suite
of computational geometry operations.
A MapReduce-based system that utilizes SpatialHadoop to query, visualize,
and analyze petabytes of satellite data available from NASA.
It provides a user-friendly web interface that makes the huge
archive available at users finger tips.
