Ed H. Chi
2007-01

    Bio
Born in Taiwan, Ed H. Chi started pursuing art seriously in 1989 as a ceramist, starting with hand-built sculptural forms and moving on to utilitarian vessels on the potter's wheel. In 1992, at the University of Minnesota, he studied photography and briefly toyed with the idea of becoming a professional photographer and designer. In the mid 90s, landscape and nature studies were his primary focus.  Architecture and human forms with their surrounding contexts later were added to the mix.  Lately, photo journalistic styles had captured his attention.  This collection represents his attempt at an interpretation of that style.  To support his photography and design obsessions, Ed enjoys doing computing research at the Palo Alto Research Center.  In his spare time, he can be seen near Lake Tahoe snowboarding.
