Had enough?
While I do not like the idea of consecutive impeachments, the Vice President has tried to undermine the very system of government for which he works. Dennis Kucinich is trying, against large odds, to bring articles of impeachment against the V.P., and I truly think this is a just cause. If you do too, go here and send the following or a similar message to your congressperson. It will take all of 20 seconds, and it will, at the very least, give you the right to complain if it fails.
Congress[man/woman] [name],
Vice President Cheney has worked hard to expand the powers of the executive branch beyond those afforded by the constitution. If we wish to preserve democracy in this country, we must take action against such expansions. Congressman Dennis Kucinich will introduce a resolution on the floor of the House of Representatives on November 6 that will bring articles of impeachment against the Vice President. I urge you to vote No on tabling, Yes on giving impeachment a chance.
Sincerely,
[your name]

Peter Roskam of Illinois does not have his own email address like most in congress. To send him an email, you must go to “contacting congress” at http://www.visi.com/juan/congress/ enter your state and 5 + 4 zip code to send to an unknown address.
I have written to him on behalf of the American Friends and Amnesty International and other causes for liberty, but I have never had to search for his address. I have also called his office but have been unable to leave a message. I think his strong support of a fundamental Republican adjenda has flooded him with main-stream comments from those supporting democracy. Hopefully this means he is in a minority, who will soon be asked to leave office.
Good work Whitebread!
