I am a graduate student at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. I am pursuing the Master of Science in Computer Science degree offered by the Department of Computer Science. I also work as a senior software architect at Cognizant Technology Solutions. I have been Cognizant Technology Solutions for the past 6 years, after completing a Bachelor of Engineering degree program at the Government College of Technology, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. I have spent the last 4 years working out of 3M's offices at the 3M Center in Minnesota, delivering enterprise level Java solutions. My research interests are Database Architecture, Web Mining and Cryptography. In particular, I am focussed on developing better models for mining information out of blogs. I hope to use the information mined out of blogs not just for producing better quality search results on blogs but also to assist in decision making in various fields. (For example, a politician may be interested in finding out how her campaign is performing with respect to her opponents.) In the field of cryptography, I am mainly interested in Public Key Cryptography. I like to relax by playing (and watching) cricket, tennis and soccer. I also like to swim, workout and watch movies. |
